Publix Pharmacy is now offering diabetes medication free to customers with Type II diabetes.
The program is for the free generic form of immediate-release metformin (500 mg, 850 mg or 1,000 mg).
Included in the program is a voucher for a free Publix brand glucose meter and enrollment into their Auto Refill program.

In addition to receiving the metformin, Publix customers will have all their regular medications enrolled into their Auto Refill program.  A reminder call reminds customers when prescriptions are ready for pick-up.
