“Coupon Stack” Your Way to BIG Savings!
Coupon stacking means that you use more than one coupon toward the cost of one item. It’s something many people think they can’t do. It is true that not all stores allow this practice, but those that do open the door to dramatically increased savings on your shopping bill.
Ways to stack. There are three main ways to stack coupons.
The first is to use both a manufacturer’s coupon (such as those found in RedPlum’s Grocery section) in combination with a store-issued coupon (typically found in retailer’s printed circulars, Web sites and on coupons attached to your printed store receipt) — also known as Catalina Coupons.
The second is to stack any combination of manufacturer’s and store-issued coupons toward the price of an item.
The third is to stack a store’s dollar-off coupon ($5 off a $25 purchase, for example) with manufacturer’s coupons and applicable store issued coupons.
Coupon Stacking Policies. While every retailer varies on their policies regarding coupon stacking, we’ve done some investigative work to uncover what several major chains across the country will and won’t allow. Most places, grocery, drug, etc. will allow you to stack. Ask your store what their policy is on stacking coupons.
